It’s not usual for me to read the book one day, and listen to the audio the next. But I had the opportunity to do so with Promised Adventure. And it added just that little bit of umph to the story. Zachary Zaba’s voice fits so well with Rye Cox’s writing style. Smooth, with no ridiculous accents. It was a pleasure to listen to.
This was a sweet story of two men, who had fulfilling lives, but were lonely and not so lucky in love. Pacing is fast, but they only have 48 minutes to meet and fall into love. The steam felt organic rather than rushed. I enjoyed the cameo from the Corio Heights series. Made me want to go back and read that series over again.
So, sweet and enjoyable. Low angst with just a bit of sizzle. A fast listen. Can not wait to read and hear the next Kither Springs story.
I received an advanced copy of this audio and this is my review.

Promised Adventure is a prequel to Rye Cox’s Promises, Promises series. In book one,(Promised Vow) Ryker and Sam compete for a rental home. And now we know why there was such a housing shortage in Kither Springs!
Wren is a travel vlogger. His next adventure was going to be in the San Gabriel mountains, but his van, Marge, broke down outside Kither Springs. Jordon comes to his rescue since Marge broke down just off his property. Adventures is a quick meet and fall into lust story. And by quick, short story, under an hour read. The lonely travel vlogger falls for the lonely owner of a construction company. Wren’s vlog brings Kither Springs fame just as it did for Wren’s friend’s bakery, Sweet Buns (Corio Heights series).
Low angst, high sizzle. With only 46 pages to tell the story in, Wren and Jordan’s relationship is fast paced. But it’s also sweet. Cox is a master of sweet and sexy. I can’t wait for who gets the next story. Hoping it will be Jordan’s brother, Jones.
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.

I loved this short novella where we have Jordan and Wren story, whom I met in Promised vow, but appear also in Corio Heights series, making the link between both. It’s instalust, sweet, easy to read and/or to listen, and even with the short format I got the feeling that the characters’s development is very well done.
This is a Promises Promises prequel novella. I read the story and listened to the audiobook narrated by Zachary Zara, and enjoyed both.

I got an ARC and an ALC, and this is my honest review.

a beautiful short story in typing Ryes Kither Springs’ new universe to her established and loved Corio Heights universe. Wren has a traveling blog to show the world the beauty of it without a true home to land at. he has the boys of Sweet Buns yet not someone to call his own. Jordan works hard running his business to the point he really is left with that only. One fateful night, these two cross paths, and Jordan gives Wren the place to land even when his adventures take him all over. A well-balanced shory story where you don’t feel you are missing out but do make you want to try more from the author.

When Wren’s van breaks down in the middle of nowhere and he’s rescued by Jordan he never expects to find love and the home he always wanted.

In this sweet, insta-love novella we see how famous vlogger Wren put the small town of Kither Springs on the map. It’s a cute, short look into the Promises, Promises series.

(We also get a glimpse of Caleb and Zach of The New Neighbor from the Corio Heights series.)

This is a prequel to the author’s Promises, Promises series and features Wren, a travel vlogger who was introduced in the book, The New Neighbor from the Corio Heights collection.

When Wren’s latest adventure finds him and Marge, his trusty van, broken down on the side of a deserted road after dark, looks may be deceiving because it could be his greatest adventure yet when he meets Jordan, the man who rescues him and introduces him to what Kither Springs has to offer.

This was a SUPER short, sweet little read, not much heat but I hope to hear more about these two guys during the series. 4 stars!

I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.

I read the ebook of this and listened to the audio.

Starting with the audio: Zachary Zaba is a fantastic narrator. I loved the way he brought Wren and Jordan to life.

The story is super short, but I thought it was the perfect bite-sized read/listen. Nothing was missing, which is a hard thing to accomplish in a short novella like this, so kudos to Rye for that feat! Wren and Jordan are both well-developed and well-rounded characters. They are immensely likable on their own and compliment each other well. At the beginning of the story, I thought “oh no, these guys are too different, someone is going to have make big, scary changes for this relationship to work.” Wren is constantly in motion, never staying in one place too long like a bird in migration. Jordan is steadfast with deep roots. But they do manage to compromise and make the relationship work in a way that I didn’t expect, but fit beautifully and neither had to compromise what is important to them.

This is a sweet little novella I’ll return to whenever I am short on time, but don’t want to get pulled into a longer story. It’s low-angst, super sweet, and light hearted.

    This is an audiobook review.

Wren has been alone for a long time, always searching for family.
He found it at Sweet Buns and couple Caleb and Zach became his family but he desperately wants a love like theirs.
He has a vlogging channel and goes on adventures with Marge, his van.
He ends up on the side of the road and Jordan comes to his rescue.
Jordan is a workaholic who’s also looking for something more.
These two were so sweet and had immediate chemistry.
I loved how perfectly matched they were.
Zachary Zaba did an amazing job narrating and bringing these characters to life.

Who doesn’t love a stranded man who falls in love with the man in the nearby cabin who offers assistance?!?!

I mean it’s classic and swoony. And these two are a wonderful pair. Wren is a travel vlogger who breaks down outside Jordan’s property. Owner of a local construction company who has turned to work to fill his time.

The romance that blooms while Wren waits for his vehicle to be fixed is sweet. And their future is bright.

This book is the prequel to the Promises, Promised series by Rye Cox. This is the story of Wren and Jordan. We first read about Wren in the Corio Heights collection book The New Neighbor. Wren is now a travel vlogger who now earns enough to vlog full time. But he still picks up shifts at Sweet Buns bakery in Corio City. More to spend time with his two favourite people, Caleb and Zack. Growing up in foster care, Wren always has a yen to move on. He hasn’t found any place where he wants to settle down permanently. And while he loves traveling and vlogging, he does admit that it gets lonely. Off Marge (his trusty van) and him set out for his latest adventure. Unfortunately, it ends much sooner than expected. When it breaks down at night, with a dead phone and no houses in sight, he decides to sleep in the van overnight and get help in the daylight. Jordan is the owner and boss for the largest construction company in Kither Springs. He has the stress of keeping everyone employed weighing on his shoulders. He has become a workaholic. Hiking, relaxing and meeting people are just a distant memory. Then he comes upon Wrens van late at night. Offering help, he is relieved when Wren accepts his help. This is their story. It is quick novella that is fun to read. The book is written well and is easy to read. I received a complementary advanced review e-book and audio book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a fun book to read.

As mentioned, I also received an audio book copy of this story as well. It is the first time that I have listened to an audio book and left a review. I liked the narrator Zachary Zaba. I thought he did a wonderful job with the voices of the main characters. He was easy to listen too. I had no problem understanding what he was saying. I did the audio after I read the e-book but I still enjoyed the audio experience.

Thank you, Rye & Neon Rainbow for my copies of Promised Adventure. This is a prequel Promises, Promises short story; 1st published in the A Safe Space Charity Anthology.

This short story is about how Wren & Jordan met. What I didn’t expect is to start in Corio city with Zach & Caleb (The New Neighbor). This is a great short story and would recommend it for anyone who has or is going to read the Promises, Promises series.

This was a sweet short story to give you the right amount of tease on this author’s style. A bit of an insta-love with a tiny bit of a grumpy/sunshine mix. Enjoyed the story and look forward to more.

A sweet instalove in a well written novella!  Wren is a vlogger who successfully draws people to the destinations he films. He loves his job but he’s lonely. He finds his home in Jordan, a construction company owner who works non-stop.  The author makes them falling in love overnight very believable.  For such a quick read, Rye Cox has managed to develop these two characters quite a bit. It’s a wonderful prequel to Promised Vow and this series of books.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
